As we mentioned last week, Nico the Beast (one half of Philly's Clean Guns) is on the verge of releasing a solo album, No Beast So Fierce. From what I've heard so far, it's shaping up to be something pretty tremendous. If you enjoyed any of the previous Beat Garden songs we've profiled in the past, you'll definitely want to cop the album as soon as it hits the streets. As a way of promoting it, and to give you all a taste of what's to come, Nico and Zilla are asking for some audience participation:
"We're going to do a contest of sorts for the next few weeks. It's called "Feed the Beast" where once a week, in correlation with the album "No Beast so Fierce" dropping on April 25th, we'll take requests from people in person/over the internet/on MySpace/at the bus station that give Nico instrumentals to murder. Once a week, we'll post the new bangage on Nico's MySpace page, as well as Yadibox and Beat Garden's website [and 33Jones and Passion of the Weiss]. And whoever gets their track picked out will get a shoutout at the beginning of the track. "
