Joe Budden - Secrets
While I consider Joe Budden to be the best emcee to ever emerge from my home state, I've had dealings with his promo team in the past that have left me somewhat less than enthusiastic about promoting his various endeavors. Yet I have to admit that I was pretty excited to hear that DJ Benzi had partnered up with Budden, with plans to rerelease Mood Muzik 3 as part of Benzi's We Got The Remix series. Benzi's done some great work in the past (most recently the American G-Funk album, which we profiled back in December), and this time around he's offering up a spot on the tracklist to whoever can produce the best remix of Mood Muzik 3's Secrets.
You can find the full details for the contest over on low-bee, a site catering primarily to deejays and producers who focus on club music. I know there are a bunch of great producers out there in the audience, so I thought I'd pass the announcement along. Benzi's tapes have gotten some attention from the mainstream media in the past, so it could be a great opportunity for whoever wins the contest.
Submissions are due by February 20th (next Wednesday), and you can get the acapella for Secrets over at low-bee. There have only been a handful of entries so far, but the ones that have been submitted all sound much better than the original version. Here are two of the best:

That first remix was put together by dj.dstar, and the second version comes from German producer Mythos. If any of you end up doing your own remix, let me know and I'll put it up on the site.
