I may be a bit late on this, but I just found out
The Clipse album has been pushed back yet again. "Label drama coming to an end, tell a friend"? Guess not. At this point, we may see Dr. Dre's Detox or a new Joe Budden album before
Hell Hath No Fury actually makes it to a bittorrent service near you. Even fellow Star Trak crew member Fam-Lay, who's debut single got so little play a few years ago that he was dropped from Def Jam with the quickness, seems closer than they are to releasing an album -- in fact, you can go grab Fam's newest single Beeper
here.
A few months ago,
Hell Hath No Fury was scheduled for a mid-August release. The latest news is that it will come out at the end of September. Normally, I wouldn't make a big deal over having to wait one more month for an album, but this record has a habit of getting repeatedly pushed back. At least they
already have a new video out.
Since we likely won't be hearing new stuff from the Clipse any time soon, I'm going to put up a couple of their pre-
Lord Willin' unreleased tracks. Working with the Neptunes, the Clipse had recorded an album's worth of tracks prior to Lord Willin' which were never released. As you might have guessed, label drama kept those tracks from seeing the light of day. One single,
The Funeral, was released along with a video but the album itself was shelved. Hope history isn't repeating itself.

You can buy a vinyl version of the tracks from
Sandboxautomatic. That's the only place I know of that sells the unreleased tracks.
Oh yeah, the BET awards were held last night. Traditionally, the BET Awards have been like a low budget version of MTV's music awards, but it sounds like this year they managed to put on a decent show. Maybe I'll check it out during one of the 300 repeats BET is inevitably going to play. Here are a couple of videos from last night's show:
Beyonce and Jay-Z perform Deja Vu -- keep an eye out for Jay giving Beyonce a little slap on the back.
Busta Rhymes performs I Love My Chick / Touch It -- stick around for the last minute or so to see a surprise guest appearance.
