Following up on the well-received Street Funk that we put out earlier this month, today we're releasing the latest single off of My Man Shafe's upcoming album Who's That?! My Man Shafe.... For this third song, I'm Cookin', Shafe continues the trend of laying down his distinct brand of vocals over tremendous funk and soul samples, this time making use of The Budos Band's Ghost Walk.
As usual, the result is an offering that sounds just as good out on the dance floor as it does in a pair of headphones, a rare feat in today's hip hop. It is, as Shafe describes in the way that only a true sneakerhead can, a song that is as smooth as the Jordan "Flu Game" 12's. Check it out:

Who's That?! My Man Shafe... was originally scheduled to come out this month under Thirty Three Jones Records, however we've decided to push it back a bit. The upshot is that we'll be releasing some more singles, and a few videos, in the very near future while we finish up the artwork and get everything else in order. And as always, much love to everyone (in particular, Khal at rockthedub) who's helped spread the word so far!
