Remember when emcees used to tell stories in their rhymes? With the exception of Joe Budden and a handful of other emcees, it seems like everyone forgot how to tell a tale with their lyrics once "Lil Jon showed dudes you could sell without rapping." Some of the recent submissions I've received have given me hope that there are, at least among the unsigned, a few who still practice the art of storytelling (here's a recent one). One of the better examples showed up in my inbox the other day, with Baltimore rapper 810 getting his Little Nemo on through a story about a bank robbery gone wrong:

Adventures in Slumberland is off of 810's upcoming (and currently untitled) album, due out sometime this summer. More details on that as we get closer to its release.
