It's been a little over a year since the last time I heard from J.A.M.E.S. Watts, an emcee/producer hailing just a couple of towns over from me in South Orange, NJ, so I checked in to see what he's been up to. Having recently put out two videos directed by Rik Cordero, it seems that Watts has managed to pull together a decent budget for his musical career in the intervening months. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have translated into much more exposure for him - the above video 1996 has been out for two months, but it was only by chance that I came across it. That's too bad, because Watts has a ton of talent, both as an emcee and as a producer. It's a shame that more people haven't had a chance to hear his music.
