With the exception of some of the early Cypress Hill albums, I've never been a huge fan of rapping in Spanish. A lot of that has to do with the fact that I don't habla the espagnol and tend to feel disconnected from any Spanish language song as a result. It's more than just the language barrier, though; the ubiquity of reggaeton during the earlier part of this decade and its reliance on that damn dem bow beat was enough to put me off of the genre for a long time. If more of it sounded as smooth as this latest offering from the Record Playas' Nico B and DJ Noble, however, I might start checking for more of it:
