Kosha Dillz and C-Rayz Walz - Holiday
This video from Kosha Dillz came out last spring, but I had never seen it before today, when I received a link to it as part of a promo for C-Rayz Walz and Kosha's upcoming collaborative album Freestyle Vs. Written. The album, made up of songs that mix freestyled and pre-written verses, is intended, in part, to bring the black and Jewish communities together (if you hadn't guessed from his name, Kosha Dillz is Jewish). The concept behind the album sounds a little bit like a gimmick at first glance, however 10% of the proceeds from Freestyle Vs. Written will be going to charity, so perhaps I shouldn't judge them so hastily. Kosha's promoter was kind enough to send a copy my way, so hopefully I'll have some sort of review up before its release (my initial reaction after one listen: it's pretty good).
