Jamal - Fades Em All (Pete Rock Remix)
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best remix of Pete Rock's career. Chachi hooked me up with the cassingle of this back in the day, and I'd say I spent about a third of my freshman year at college listening to the instrumental version in my headphones. The original version of Fades Em All wasn't quite as good, but it's hard to go wrong with that Biggie sample.
I'm admittedly biased by nostalgia, but looking back on it, Jamal's album Last Chance, No Breaks holds up surprisingly well some thirteen years later. Other than Chi-Ali's The Fabulous Chi-Ali, it may be my favorite album from a kid rapper.

Supposedly Jamal, aka Mally G, has a followup that's due out on Smoke-A-Lot records at some point in the future, but I haven't heard any news on that front in over a year.
