Despite Flavor Flav and Viacom's best efforts to ruin the legacy of Public Enemy over the past few years, they still remain to this day arguably the most important group in the history of hip hop. Few groups, hip hop or otherwise, have been able to include the level of political activism in their lyrics that Public Enemy did and still maintain a significant mainstream following. A large part of their appeal, of course, was the fact that they were backed by The Bomb Squad, a team of producers that seemed to be incapable of putting out anything but classic beats for a stretch of almost a decade.

I was over at low-bee tonight and came across a thread (here) that had a bunch of dub versions of Public Enemy's greatest instrumentals. I had been searching for these instrumentals for years, and as far as I know they haven't been available to purchase in over a decade. Here are my two favorites from the collection:

You're Gonna Get Yours (Terminator X Getaway Dub) - produced by Bill Stephney

Can't Do Nuttin For Ya Man (Dub Mix) - produced by Steve Jervier

Props to low-bee and ray ray for the links.

And if for some reason you don't have them in your collection already, please go out and buy It Takes a Nation and Fear of a Black Planet right now!
