I've got a real post coming up in a minute, but I just wanted to quickly throw up this track from Joe Budden. A lot of sites - notably Nahright and dajaz1 - have already put up at least the first part of Joey's Who freestyle trilogy (the third part has yet to be released), but I couldn't find a version that had the first two verses combined into one track. So I took some initiative and put it together:

Joe Budden - Who Freestyle Part 1 and 2

Not only does he manage to call out everyone who's had a hand in the "death" of hip hop over the past decade, he also puts in one of the best verses of the year. Dude may never release an official followup to his debut album (perhaps the single biggest failure of Jay-Z's reign at Def Jam), but he is still the best emcee in the game right now. The gap between him and whoever is second best (I'll let you argue over who that might be) is significant.

I have to admit that, over the past few months of not hearing any new material from him (other than a few disses aimed at Jersey City's Ransom), I had taken for granted just how good of an emcee he is, something I rectified after I heard the song for the first time this morning. As a sort of penance, I spent the whole day at work listenening to all of the Joe Budden mixtapes that I had on my iPod.
