It's been a hot minute since I've heard anything from Masta Ace, good to see he's still putting in work. This is the first single from Foul Mouth Jerk's upcoming LP Streetlight Music.
Bekay, like most of the Rawkus 50, has a decidedly boom bap feel to his music. Any track that scratches up a KRS-1 vocal sample is okay by me. Dope song, this kid is nice on the mic.
Mickey Factz and J.A.M.E.S. Watts - Jimmy Choo (zShare link)
Mickey and James have both shown this site a lot of love in the past, so I was looking forward to hearing this collaboration. I know a few of you have questioned Mickey's approach to emceeing in the past, and this song is unlikely to change your opinion of him. For the rest of you, however, it's worth checking out.
The Black Chiney Show, Vol. 8.9 (sendspace link)
If you're into Jamaican Dancehall, this is a nice little mix. Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, Kardinal Offishal and even Jay-Z put in appearances on the tape.
And one bit of promo: J-Direct (previously featured here) is now offering their debut album Live & J-Direct for seven bucks, over at their website. It's a dope album and the price is pretty good, so I recommend picking it up if you haven't already.
