Kurtis Blow - Christmas Rappin'
I went throught my collection of Christmas music this morning to come up with some links for today's post and it became clear rather quickly that, with few exceptions, rappers stopped putting out holiday songs once the '90s rolled around. Although we have snowmen rapping these days, there aren't too many emcees repping for ol' Saint Nick. That's too bad, because some of the older songs, in particular the songs collected on the Christmas Rap album, were much better than you might expect.
What follows is a collection of various Christmas-related songs - I couldn't find any for Kwanzaa or Chanakkuh, sorry - that I was able to dig up on Youtube and Imeem. Unfortunately, YouTube didn't have any of the videos from Uncle Luke's album Christmas At Luke's House, which featured the seasonal classic Knockin' Boots for Christmas. I did manage to find one of the songs from Death Row's Christmas On Death Row album, however.
