Last night I received a link to two mixes from Cosmo Baker, one of the djs from
The Rub. These two mixes were so good that I decided to forego today's regularly scheduled programming so that I could pass them along. For all of you hip hop junkies, this is required listening:
The first one is a Best of Diamond D mix, featuring tracks he did for the Fugees, D.I.T.C., House of Pain and Showbiz and A.G. You can get the tracklisting and download the mix
over here (that's a MySpace link, so if that doesn't work,
here's a direct link to the mix).
The second mix is a show Cosmo did for
BrooklynRadio.net, featuring the Best of Pete Rock. There are a few tracks on here that I had never heard before, including a remix of one of the Jackson 5 songs,
2-4-6-8.
Click here to listen to the streaming audio version of the mix, or
click here to download the whole thing.
As a side note, my favorite Pete Rock track of all time is the remix he did for Jamal's
Fades 'em All.
Here's the original version, but I couldn't find the remix on youtube. Anyone have a link?
And speaking of Pete Rock, if you didn't catch floodwatchmusic's Top 5 Pete Rock Remixes,
go check it out.
