Other than their close alphabetic proximity to one another, I'm not too sure what The Who and The Wu-Tang Clan have in common with each other. DJ Crazy Chris, the man behind the Phil Collins/Nas mashup, may not know either, but that hasn't stopped him from combining the sounds of the English rock legends with the vocals of Shaolin's finest.
While I've heard a few songs off of their album Tommy, I can't say that I'm all that familiar with The Who. I suspect this mashup album would be better appreciated by someone who is more acquainted with their music, but even for strictly hip hop heads there should be at least a few songs on here that you'll find worthwhile. Not all of the tracks on here work, but I have to give props to Chris for taking the Wu into some new territory. At the very least, this mix is worth listening to just for the various interview snippets from Ol' Dirty Bastard that are scattered throughout.
Normally I wouldn't bother posting that track, as it isn't particularly interesting, but it's one of the few times a p.r. rep has sent me a link to an actual mp3 instead of an audio stream. Maybe this will encourage them to send me more downloadable files.
