Time for the semi-weekly roundup of promo tracks that made it into my inbox:

Cassidy - My Drink N My 2 Step. It's good to hear Cassidy on a new track. It's not so good to hear Swizz Beats "sing" the hook.

Saigon featuring Swizz Beats - C'mon Baby (youtube link). I had heard a low bitrate version of this song when it leaked onto the internet last week, but it wasn't until I listened to DJ Enuff cut it up on Hot 97 last night (in between the seemingly endless parade of singles that 50 Cent currently has in rotation) that I really appreciated how good this track is.

Everlast - Saving Grace (Windows Media). This track ain't hip hop by any means - it's the theme song for a show on TNT - but I know there are a few of you out there still checking for anything related to House of Pain.
Update: Here's the video for Saving Grace (Windows Media link)

Playaz Circle featuring Lil Wayne - Duffle Bag Boy (Windows Media). I can't front, there are a few songs Wayne has put out that I really like. This isn't one of them, however.

Speaking of Lil Wayne, my man Zilla wants you all to take a look at the latest cover of XXL Magazine. Zilla apparently is uncomfortable with the idea of a barechested, full-body-tattoo-having, matching-boxer-wearing, overly-bejeweled father-son duo flaunting their platonic relationship on the cover of the magazine. Personally, I was more surprised when Scratch magazine put Wayne on their cover.

And finally, one more Cash Money item:

Skratch Bastid - What Happened to That Boy Looka Here, mashing up the classic Clipse and Baby track with Rich Boy's Boy Looka Here. Some of you may remember Skratch from his Star Wars performance at Skribble Jam.
