What better way to celebrate Independence Day than with some political rap? In my opinion, Fight The Power is one of the greatest political songs of all time, from any genre of music. If I were to do a top 10 of political rap songs, P.E. would probably have at least five songs on it. For the sake of variety, though, I did my best to limit the following list to just two Public Enemy tracks (all YouTube links):

Here's the uncensored version of Fight The Power, which includes a brief speech from Chuck D.

Public Enemy - Black Steel In The Hour of Chaos

The Coup - We Are The Ones

The Legendary K.O. - George Bush Don't Like Black People

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five - The Message

Mos Def - Katrina Klap

KRS-1 - Sound of da Police

Mr Lif - Home of the Brave

Blue Scholars - Back Home

Jadakiss - Why
