So this morning I was checking out an interview with Johnny Juice, a dj who was down with Public Enemy, Leaders of the New School and a lot of other rap groups from Long Island that came up in the 90's. In the second page of the interview, Johnny drops this bomb:

"One day Chuck asked me if I wanted to do a remix of Your Gonna Get Yours and so I did it. I went to the studio with Keith and Hank and Hank said 'Just do whatever you wanna do' so I scratched the vocals over the instrumental and the whole thing was done in one take. That came out as the 12" A-Side of Rebel Without a Pause and it was called the You're Gonna Get Yours Terminator X Getaway Version. I did that whole thing and when my name wasn't on that record I was so pissed."

Um, what? Terminator X wasn't doing the scratching on that record? There's more though:

"I mean, if I told you that Rakim did most of the scratching on the first Eric B & Rakim album, you'd be like 'what?'"

Ok, so maybe this is old news that I just never found out about, but damn. I grew up wanting to be like Terminator (minus the wraparound shades, the hi-top fade and the whole no-talking thing). Ah well, another childhood idol bites the dust. Next you'll tell me the Young Black Teenagers were actually white kids!
