Somewhere in between the high point of seeing B.C. send Bobby Knight home early and the low point of watching them choke in the final minutes against Georgetown, I managed to pick up a new mixtape: J-Love's Street Saviors Part 5. Best known for being Ghostface's dj, its no surprise that J-Love loaded this mix with appearances from the Wu. Even Cappadonna, who's apparently picked up the mic again after retiring from his brief career as a cabbie, puts in a track.

Though Ghostface and the rest of the Wu are the main attraction, all parts of New York are represented heavily throughout the tape, not just Shaolin Island. The Beatnuts, Cormega, Large Professor, Kool G. Rap and several other NY rappers show up on the tracklisting (not all of the tracks are new, though). Two of the highlights:

Mash Out Posse - Off With His Head

Nasir - Chisel '07 (J-Love mix)

If you're into that classic NY boom bap sound, you should definitely add this tape to your collection. It doesn't look like its available for purchase online yet at his site, but check back in a few days and you should be able to pick up the tape.

Also included on the tape are a couple of tracks 50 Cent put out dissing Dipset. I was going to put up one of the tracks, but 50's been on his YouTube grind lately and already put out videos for both of them. They've been out for a minute, but in case you missed them:

50 Cent and Young Buck - Hold On
50 Cent - Funeral Music
