Its a few days late, and there's a case to be made that we should be celebrating May 21st instead of commemorating March 9th, but with all of the great Biggie-related posts that have been put up over that past few days, I had to do a quick recap. Some of the highlights:

First up, from Mick Boogie's free Biggie Remix album Unbelievable:

Biggie, Pusha T and Malice - Blow

Next up, from Spine Magazine's tribute (scroll down their front page until you get to the March 9th entry):

Biggie/50 Grand demo (direct link to mp3 on spinemagazine). I could be wrong, but I believe this is the demo that got Big featured in The Source's Unsigned Hype column, back when that meant something.

Talib Kweli's version of Hypnotize (via therapup)

OhWord put up a remix of The Points, featuring Buckshot, Redman and the Digable Planets' Doodlebug.

Another remix album of Biggie's work was released for free on March 9th, entitled March 9. You can still download a 40 minute "preview" of the mix over at the site, definitely worth checking out.

An old interview with Biggie rating other rappers that were in the game at the time. On the subject of E-40: "No rating! Zero! I don't fuck with duke at all. At all." (via byroncrawford)

Biggie and Pac freestyle.

And finally, the video for my favorite Biggie song: Juicy.

I said it before on Friday, but it needs to be repeated: Biggie Smalls was the best to ever pick up a mic. R.I.P.
