A couple of weeks ago, several people sent me a track that Kanye West had done over the beat from Rich Boy's Throw Some D's. I didn't bother to listen to it at first, because I really wasn't a fan of the Rich Boy song to begin with. Maybe if it hadn't been released at the start of the winter I would have been into it -- it seems clear that Throw Some D's was meant to be an anthem for the summer. Or maybe its just that the lyrics are so bad ("I never slip, I never fall / A lot of hoes give me they number but I never call"). Or maybe I just have a hard time listening to some dude I've never heard of rap about how much money he's got and how many people are hatin' on him.

Whatever the reason, it wasn't until last night that I got around to hearing Kanye's take on the song. Sure, this is about two weeks old now, but for those of you who haven't heard it yet, definitely take a listen. Kanye flips the concept of "D's" from rims to silicone. Most of the time I find Kanye's arrogance distracting, but this track is so over-the-top that it works well:

Kanye Just Got a Model Chick

And another Kanye track I'm late on:
