I wanted to put up a Thanksgiving-related song for today because I probably won't be posting tomorrow. Not a whole lot of rap songs out there about the Plymouth Pilgrims, though, so instead I just went for a song devoted to food. Waistline Connection's Chow Down, a parody of Westside Connection's Bow Down, should serve as a good anthem for your holiday feast:

Waistline Connection -- Chow Down

New track from UGK, Quit Hatin' On The South. This one would be a lot more interesting if they actually named names instead of just calling out "a few washed up rappers" from NY. Pimp C once again boasts that the South invented grillz, which seems to be his go-to diss whenever he talks about the east. I'm not really sure grillz are something you would want to take credit for anyway, but New York rappers (Just Ice, Flavor Flav) have been up on them since the 80's, and Jamaican artists have been wearing fronts since the 70's. In all likelihood they probably did originate from the South, but its not like the east just started rocking them once Nelly and Paul Wall came out. The UGK song itself is not too bad, though I could do without Charlie Wilson's singing.

Is 50 Cent a snitch? Sheek, Ja Rule and The Game all say so on the video. I can't find my copy of the Stop Snitchin' rulebook, but isn't this video itself a form of snitching?

Fat Joe's album apparently isn't doing so well, so why not go on a radio show and call Jay-Z an Uncle Tom to get some publicity? Joe complains that Jay has gone bourgeois on us (he has), but didn't Fat Joe do an MTV Cribs episode talking about how he finds tranquility by living out in the suburbs? Not that there's anything wrong with living in the suburbs, of course. I find it quite tranquil myself.

Having said that, what is Jay-Z doing on the new Fallout Boy album?
