Just hitting you off with some links for today...
Remember when Dame Dash signed Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice) to Roc-A-Fella Records? He had some big plans for her to take over the American R&B scene, but that fell apart once Jay-Z filed for divorce. Anyway, she has a new track out featuring the king capo Jim Jones.
Fetch Me Some Music has the track up. This isn't quite as bad as Jadakiss appearance on a Paris Hilton track, but its still not a good look for Dipset.
Speaking of things that are not a good look, did anyone really want to see Ice-T
pose nude for his latest album cover? (link is potentially NSFW)
Spine Magazine has been all over the G-Unit exclusives lately. I don't think any of them are particularly good, but if you've been fiending for some Curtis Jackson tracks, here you go (all links are direct to
spinemagazine.com):
50 Cent -- Puppy Love
Kardinal Offishal feat. 50 Cent -- Officer Down
Mobb Deep feat. 50 Cent -- Lookout
The Fader has the remix for Lady Sovereign's newest single
Love Me Or Hate Me featuring Missy Elliot.
You can grab it here. This song is way too pop for my tastes, though I guess that's what you need to hook in the TRL crowd. Her full album comes out on Halloween.
From
Idolator's review of Public Access Television Music Videos:
BJ The Messenger -- Crackhead.
Scholar over at Souled On put up the remix of Talib Kweli's latest joint,
Listen, featuring Q-Tip.
You can grab that here. The video for the original version is pretty dope too,
you can watch that here.
And finally, it looks like
I might need to step my costume game up for Halloween.
