Picture taken from the short-lived Nine Rings of Wu-Tang. Ghostface is on the left, but I can't identify the rest of 'em.

A couple of random Wu-Tang items for today:

SOHH has an interview up with Raekwon, talking about his new deal with Dre's Aftermath. He doesn't come out and say it, but I get the feeling from the interview that production on his new album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2, hasn't even begun yet. That's probably a good thing, because most of the leaked tracks that I heard at the end of the summer needed some work anyway. Raekwon says the album will be released in 2007 now, not the originally scheduled November 2006 date. Production will be done by RZA and Dre.

Last weekend, Ghostface stopped by Amsterdam to take part in "deHop 2006." As the promoters describe it, "deHop is a unique project that started 2 years ago in a small bar in Amsterdam. In short, a producer/beatmaker, a mc and a graphic artist come together to create a 12inch record in front of a live audience." The netherlands-based site Nalden has a copy of the track up, take a listen to it here (the site is in Dutch, just look for the link at the bottom of the post).

Also at Nalden, there is an hour long mix of the songs that Wu-Tang has sampled on their albums. Go check it out. Lots of good stuff on that mix.
