SOHH is reporting that two people were shot and killed at a Dallas club last week after the DJ played Lil Wayne's Money On My Mind. Apparently when that song gets played, its a tradition for people to literally start throwing money around. This must be a southern thing, because you will never see dudes tossing their own money around the club in Jersey unless there are naked women dancing on poles. I happened to be listening the Juelz and Weezy mixtape at the same time I read that article, and this song came up, which I thought was appropriate:

In other news, it looks like The Game is leaving Aftermath. According to The Game's website, he signed a contract with Geffen Records under the advice of Dr. Dre. Should be interesting to see how 50 Cent reacts to this. 50 made the claim in a radio interview last year that he'll leave Shady/Aftermath if Dre continues to work with The Game. I have a hard time believing that he would actually do that (or if that's even a possibility due to the contract situation), but I guess we'll see soon enough. 50's also claimed, in his song Emotional, that he gets a cut from the next four Game albums. Would Geffen give The Game a five record deal if he was still contractually obligated to G-Unit?
Anyway, The Game just dropped a new mixtape, Faces of L.A. I thought he was from Compton? In any event, you can find a link to download the mixtape in this post at XXL.
If any of you are in New York this weekend, Lady Sovereign is having a free concert in Central Park on Sunday afternoon. I know most people are questioning Jay-Z's decision to sign her to Def Jam, and even most of the hipsters have given up on her at this point, but I still expect her to put out a decent album this fall. Pete Rock and Jean Grae will be opening for her.
