After two years, the feud between Proactiv spokesman P. Diddy and Da Band member Dylan "Hot Fiyah!!" DilanJah has apparently come to an end. According to illseed over at allhiphop, Dylan has said that all is forgiven between the two of them. You can read more about it in Dylan's own words, here. Apparently that's an excerpt from Dylan's blog. He manages to use more parentheses than I do on his blog. Impressive.
For those of you who never watched MTV's reality show Making the Band 2, Dylan was basically a Jamaican dancehall rapper (well, he rapped with a Jamaican accent, though its questionable whether he actually was Jamaican) who thought he was the second coming of Supercat and ended up feuding with Diddy (back then he was still P. Diddy), mainly because he overestimated his own talents on the mic. It made for good television and horrible music. Diddy has never publicly addressed the situation, but Dylan talked about it every chance he got, even putting out a mixtape in 2004, entitled Life After Diddy (pictured above). Interestingly enough, Dylan claims that he was never actually kicked out of the house and that he left voluntarily. Hard to say whether that actually hurt or improved his career outlook, as the only member of Da Band still with Bad Boy is Ness.
For old time's sake, here's a diss track that Dylan put out on the Life After Diddy mixtape. I believe the second rapper on the track is Reign Man, a Philly rapper who was kicked out early on in the Making The Band series, when he refused to do jumping jacks. Yeah, if you've never watched the show, it was as ridiculous as it sounds.
