For whatever reason, a lot of mash up djs out there in the internet use 50 Cent for their source material. I'm sure the main reason is his current popularity, but the fact that he uses a fairly standard delivery in his flow also makes it easier to match up his vocals to a different beat. That being said, there have been some pretty offbeat mashups with Fiddy's vocals in them, and I've been guilty of highlighting a couple of them in the past.

Today we have another attempt to mash up 50, this time with beats from the 80's. The collection is named 80 Cent, by DJ Swindle (one of the DJs behind the amazing Bobb Deep mixtape which you should go and buy now if you haven't already). The production on this one is pretty good (only one of the tracks was really off beat), and if you're into either 50 Cent or music from the eighties then you should check this mix out. One of the better tracks on the mix is a mashup of 50 Cent's vocals from In Da Club with the Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams.

You can find out more about the 80 Cent mixtape from DJ Swindle's site.

The best 50 Cent mashup I've ever heard is still the Nine Inch Nails mix with In Da Club that was in heavy rotation on the internet about a year ago. I don't think I've ever put that up on this site. If I find it I will try to put it up soon.
