About a year ago, there was some talk of Gravy being the next great rapper to come out of Brooklyn. He was blowing up the mixtape scene, made some noise on the On The Come Up DVD series and appeared on a couple of tracks with Fabolous and Jacki-O. A lot of people dismissed him as just another Biggie clone (not unlike this dude), however, and this criticism grew when he appeared on the cover of his promo mixtape Without A Doubt looking like he was doing a photo shoot for Life After Death.

Since last year, Gravy has signed with Dirty Money Entertainment, but beyond doing a few more mixtape appearances there hasn't been a lot of buzz about him. Maybe he's got something in the works, but I couldn't find any information about an album coming out.

I'm putting up a track from Gravy's Without A Doubt mixtape, where he raps over beats used by Jay-Z and Biggie. If you're going to be the next B.I.G., you have to be able to drop something hot over Biggie's greatest song, Juicy. He certainly doesn't match up to Big's verses on Juicy, but he doesn't do too bad. Check it out:
