Had it not taken me so long to get the artwork done for this latest single from My Man Shafe, Soul Love would've been a great release for Valentine's Day. As it is, the first day of Spring works just as well; it's a well documented fact that funk and hip hop sound much better in warm weather, and as usual Shafe's music is loaded with both. Shafe's got a full plate of releases scheduled for the next couple of months: a collaboration with the band LP Stiles (who he's been performing live with recently, as seen here), another single produced by Chris Brown aka He's Hers, and a multi-track EP highlighted by a freestyle over a Roc Marciano beat. All of that will ultimately lead into the release of Shafe's debut album, Who's That?! My Man Shafe!
We'll have more details on each of those projects in the near future, but in the meantime keep checking Shafe's Twitter feed and Thirty Three Jones for the latest updates.
