Fresh Vets featuring Dynasty - Get Bizzy
I've never heard of the duo Fresh Vetz before, but the fact that their latest single has shown up on most of the major hip hop aggregator sites suggests that they have a decent promotional machine behind them. I question whether the current generation of rap fans is going to be checking for their brand of nostalgia rap no matter how much love they get from the blogosphere, but for those of us who fondly remember a time when rap groups actually used breaks that b-boys could dance to there's a lot to like about these Brooklynites. A sample from Jimmy Castor (RIP), some vinyl scratches, clean visuals, and competent rhyming; not much for me to complain about on this one.
Apparently Dynasty, the female emcee in the video, has been building a little bit of a buzz on her own. Last year she released a fairly well-received collaboration with DJ Premier:

The Vetz recently dropped their latest album, Fresh 2 Def. They've released a few of the singles, including Get Bizzy, for free on their bandcamp page.
