Mally - Once We're Kings (produced by The Sundance Kid)

As I mentioned last week, the career of Minnesota emcee Mally has been on a steady incline punctuated by a flurry of releases over the past couple of months. Continuing his string of noteworthy projects, Mally just dropped the above video, the finale to his Free on the 15th series and the prelude to his upcoming album with The Sundance Kid, The Last Great..., due out in May. For those who remember the legendary bootleg/Lupe Fiasco fanfic blog Kiss My Azz Plz, it's worth noting that Major of KMAP is the man driving Mally around on the bike in the video.

In even bigger news, Mally's Future Classic was recently featured on Chuck D's radio show Songs That Mean Something. As far as I'm concerned, getting recognition from Chuck D - who is arguably the most important figure in hip hop not named Kool Herc - is about as significant an accolade as any emcee can receive (and don't sweat it, Mal, he'll learn how to pronounce your name soon enough!).
