The Cause & Knowledge - The Truth
For the past few months I've been getting #hashtagged by this kid Cause on Twitter. I still haven't quite embraced the concept of tweeting so I had been ignoring his messages and, as a result, I've been sleeping on some really good music from a duo of young emcees repping NJ. Hailing from Fair Lawn and Woodbridge respecively, The Cause & Knowledge happen to live just a couple of exits down I-78 from my own hometown. That alone would be enough reason for me to post one of their videos, but it helps that The Truth is actually a dope song. With shots of local landmarks like the Prudential Center and nods to Biggie, Pac, and even Slick Rick this video is a real good look for the next generation of Jersey hip hop.
