Due to my low rate of posting lately, I haven't had much of a chance to hype an upcoming project that I'm really excited about. The homies from The State Champs, the Illinois duo of Nick Arcade and Johnny Red, are on the verge of releasing their new Clear Eyes EP. If you've been paying attention for the past six months or so, the group has been releasing a steady stream of hip hop with a 90's era true school feel to it. Next Tuesday is the official release date of the EP, and everything I've heard so far has been quite good. And it's not just my opinion; Snoop Dogg was so impressed with the Champs, he let them open for his show last week!
In any event, I was going through Nick Arcade's soundcloud page and came across a song that he produced a couple of years ago for HiClas. Check it out:
