Digging around the internet this morning to see what fellow B.C. alum Canyon Cody has been doing with his label Gnawledge Records, I came across this latest offering from his artist the1shanti. With an electro sounding beat, samples of M.I.A., shoutouts to Williamsburg and footage from what looks to be Southpaw, this one seems to be geared towards a hipster fanbase. Yet there's something about this kid's flow that has a real old school feel to it, and that hook with the cut up vocals from Flex, Common, Jadakiss, Biggie and Jay-Z is dope.
