For the latest installment of Mally's ongoing monthly series of singles, all of which have been aided by the strong production skills of The Sundance Kid, the Minnesota emcee offers up a tale of love inspired, no doubt, by the recent celebration of Valentine's Day. Typically, rap songs about love (or infatuation) tend to either have the female subject of the song serve as a metaphor for hip hop itself - or some other, more destructive, object of the rapper's desire - or find the protaganist cuckolded by the object of his affection (see: Sharise at the Kitty Club). Mally seems to have taken his cue more from R&B, however, with his rhymes coming across as far more earnest than what hip hop usually delivers on this topic. It is, in many ways, a significantly more lyrical update to the Craig David song Seven Days.
