The weather continues to be miserable around these parts, so much so that I was almost driven to drop a Rob Van Winkle reference. Never that, though, so instead a couple of new videos to get through this ongoing ice storm.
First up is a short flick from former Digital Invaders member Suff Daddy. Aided by a sample from King Tee's You Can't See Me, Suff has put together an instrumental tribute to his drink of choice, cognac:
'Gnac will be featured on an upcoming Box Set that Suff is putting out through Melting Pot Music. The set will also include Suff's tremendous Kill Bill, which we posted up a couple of months ago.
The second video of the day comes from Minnesota emcee Danami (previously featured here) for his new song Settin' In. The highlight is Mally's turn as a silent film star, playing the role of a corner boy hating on Danami. Mally doesn't get to read any lines, but nonetheless I believe this is the first official music video that he's appeared in:
I can't have a post about Mally and not have him spit any rhymes, though, so to close this one out here's a video of the 612 emcee freestyling alongside Ernie Rhodes:
(Devoted Clean Guns fans may recognize the sample that Mally is rapping over, as Zilla Rocca used it for the song Something Good. Hopefully Zilla will one day give that song an official release.)
