Mally - Once We're Kings (Right-click to d/l)
As good as it is to see that Mally, assisted by the Sundance Kid, has continued his streak of monthly bangers, it's even better to see just how many other sites have finally begun to recognize his talents. Mally reports that his upcoming album has been pushed back to the summer, but the good news is that he has a separate project coming out in the near future with Zilla Rocca and Curly Castro. I don't think I'm allowed to give too many details out yet, but trust it'll have the real hip hop heads going nuts when it drops.

I've long since given up trying to keep track of all the various crews that the State Champs are now a part of, but regardless of the name that they release their songs under (the latest: 500 lb Guerrillas) they always sound dope. This latest joint, Buggin', continues their development of what might best be described as a 21st century version of the Native Tongues sound.

As someone who did not grow up in Chicago, I remember Stacey King as little more than an overpaid towel waver for Jordan's Bulls during the early 90's. Apparently he's developed into a pretty good color man, so much so that Alex Ludovico used one of King's calls for his ode to Chicago point guard (and 2011 mvp?) Derrick Rose. It's FANtastic!
Curly Castro featuring Rockness and Inglish - What is it Good For
In case you somehow missed the news during last weeks 24/7/7 coverage, Curly Castro just released his album Winston's Appeal this past Friday. It's dope, it's free, go get it! The above song isn't on the album, but I had never heard it before and it features Rockness of Heltah Skeltah so I felt it was necessary to post it up.
