Another week, another solid round of new material featuring Zilla Rocca. The first comes from my man Griff (of J-Direct and RhymeCity fame), who somehow found time in between celebrating the New Year and the birth of his second daughter to remix a couple of tracks from Akrobatik. Along with the remixes, Mr. Griffin sends word that a new J-Direct single is coming this year in addition to a new mixtape that he is producing for Brooklyn's Dre Boogie.
You can find the full package of remixes over at Griff's site, Bordering Insubordination, but for the impatient among you here's the Black Hell Breaks Loose remix featuring an unreleased verse from Zilla:
Zilla's verse is a little dusty - you may notice a reference or two to the dearly departed Clean Guns - but it still holds up quite well.
Continuing with the ZeeArruh theme of today's post, remember that Big Stupid Bangers instrumental tape that he dropped last month (featuring some rather exquisite artwork from yours truly)? Alex Ludovico jacked one of my favorite beats from the tape and dropped a quick 16 over it. It's a safe bet that it will be the only rap verse of 2011 to reference Tobias Funke. Check it out:
