It's been a while since I've had a chance to post up some new instrumentals, so when Zilla Rocca hit me up with a new beat tape of his, appropriately titled Big Stupid Bangers, it seemed like the right time to offer up a few selections that I've been sitting on. We'll start with Zilla's entry first, a collection of his unreleased work that he found time to put together on Sunday in between handing out candy to the local Philly children and waiting for the debut of The Walking Dead. Zilla, like a lot of producers that I'm lucky enough to have befriended over the years, often sends me beats with the proviso that I'm usually not allowed to share them on this site. Thankfully this beat tape includes many of my favorites that I've had to keep to myself:

As I told Zilla when he sent over the beat tape, I've had Just a Toca set as my phone's ringtone for the past couple of years. I've apparently developed a Pavlovian response to it, as I am now unable to hear the first few notes of this beat without instinctively reaching for my phone.

You can find a link to download Big Stupid Bangers, as well as preview a few more tracks from the tape, over here. The above selections happen to be my two favorites, but the tape is full of head nodders that any hip hop fan will appreciate. If any emcee out there feels inspired to use any of them, you can get in touch with ZR over at his website Clap Cowards.

Next up is a producer/emcee who's been down with 33Jones for almost five years now, Chris Brown aka He's Hers. Chris is currently living out in Quezon City, Philippines (a city where, I recently discovered, singing Frank Sinatra's My Way is a quick way to get yourself killed). He's back on the grind, digging up some great samples and offering his beats to any emcee that's willing to do them justice:

Featuring a rather nice flip of Al Hirt's Harlem Hendoo, which De La fans should recognize...

I'm not sure if Chris would want me to put his email on blast, so if anyone wants to use one of the He's Hers beats (or any of the others on his soundcloud page) hit me up and I'll put you in touch with him.

Finally, we've got a couple of instrumentals from Suff Daddy, a German producer who used to be featured rather frequently on this site a few years ago, back when he was part of the international beat making crew The Digital Invaders and putting in production duties for Kissey Asplund and on Bless 1's magnum opus Starving Artist. He's slowly been putting out some new (and re-released) material over on his soundcloud page. Here are two of my favorite recent offerings:
