There's not much need for a lead-in, so I'll just say that the following songs found their way into my inbox over the past week and I give them all a big thumbs up:
As I said to Zilla when he passed along the above track from Shadowboxer affiliate Curly Castro, I'm a sucker for any form of hip hop that makes use of Jamaican style riddims. What separates this one from the usual cross genre fare, however, is producer Margel Overton's pairing of electronic effects with a traditional dubplate sound. Plus, Curly Castro sounds dope rapping in pseudo patois.
Castro and Zilla are currently en route to Phoenix, where they will be teaming up with So Much Silence for a live show on Friday. If you're in AZ, be sure to check them out (just make sure you've got your passport on you). Be sure also to check Clap Cowards tomorrow for an exclusive podcast from the dynamic duo.

The last track of the day comes from j.Depina, a producer out of Rhode Island that Chachi put me up on a couple of years ago. Depina's a pro at finding dusty old samples, a talent on full display for this remix (via The Echo Chamber) of the classic Beatnuts track:
