Jesse Jaymes - Shake it like a White Girl
Earlier today, I saw that Rafi linked to a post on Bust The Facts regarding early 90's sensation Jesse Jaymes. Though I had completely forgotten about his 1991 single Shake It Like a White Girl, I will readily admit that it was one of my favorite videos during my middle school days. As a lifelong hater of the Knicks (due to John Starks ruining the career of my childhood idol), however, what love I had for Jaymes was gone after he put out an anthem for the team, Go NY Go, a song that was inescapable for anyone living in the tri-state area from 1993-1995:

Seeing these two videos for the first time in over a decade inspired me to check out Jaymes' wikipedia page, which held something of a surprise. Jaymes, real name Jesse Itzler, went on to law school after his music career died down and then, in 2001, founded the private jet company Marquis Jet. In the New York area, at least, the company's rather well known for being the go-to choice for traveling CEO's and celebrities, and according to wikipedia it's made Jaymes a millionaire. More recently, he ran a 100 mile ultra marathon for charity.
And while we're on the subject of random factoids about one-hit wonders from 1991, wikipedia lists Gerardo ("Rico Suave") as the man who discovered Bubba Sparxxx.
