Lots of great things going on in this early 80's instructional video: the introductory rap from "Al" the Public Access host, a young Grandmaster Flash's awkwardness in front of the camera, and Flash calling out all of the lazy disc jockeys not putting in work at the discotech. Using a giant mixer, some newspaper for a slipmat, what looks to be a pair of belt drive turntables and some very basic record scratches, Flash still manages to sound better than 90% of the Serato dj's out there today.
