A couple of weeks ago a kid from the Bahamas named Juve hit me up out of the blue with a song of his called Again. I assumed that a rapper named "Juve", who cited Cash Money as his original inspiration for picking up a microphone no less, would follow a similar path as that other Juve(nile): superficial raps about a baller's life of women and bling. Again, however, was about as far from that as possible. Instead of the expected depiction of the high life, Juve offered up lyrics from the point of view of a struggling independent rapper trying to get through the daily grind of a regular 9-to-5 job, daydreaming of a life less ordinary. Not all of us are aspiring rappers, but I suspect it's a tale most of us can relate to nonetheless:
Again is off of Juve's new album, The Beginning of Something Better, produced by Josh Grooves. You can download the album for free over at Juve's bandcamp page.
