Esham - Stop Selling Me Drugs
I know Esham has a pretty strong underground following, but I've never fully understood his appeal. The Satanic rap genre never really caught on around my way, so I will admit I haven't been exposed to his entire catalog and may not be in the best position to judge his work. Nevertheless, the overlap that his fanbase has with the juggalos has been enough to keep me from actively seeking out his previous albums. I will say, though, that when he focuses on politics, his lyrics are worth paying attention to. On this one, the first single from his upcoming album with Aknu Media, Esham addresses the government's dual role in the so-called "War on Drugs." So take a minute to listen to the song, then go read up on the subject.
