When I was in middle school, kids on my bus route used to come strapped with water guns to shoot at any unfortunate bastard who happened to be standing within range of the bus windows. There were a couple of times when shots were fired right before the bus reached a redlight, allowing enough time for the soaked and, understandably, enraged victim to catch up to the bus just long enough to threaten physical violence, but nothing ever came of it. Our driver, by that point having been stuck on the same route for ten years, had long since given up on any hope for career advancement and, with it, any interest in disciplining the mob of unruly children in the back of the bus, so the kids soon grew bolder in their water-based assaults.
Eventually one kid, no longer satisfied with the relatively meager output of his double barreled super soaker, had the bright idea to try out one of those water balloon catapults while the bus was driving through the middle of town. I didn't get to see the balloon actually make impact after missing its intended victim, but the shattering of the local pizzeria's glass front and the sight of one woman throwing herself to the ground as if a bomb had gone off is something I will never forget. Suffice it to say, I never saw that bus driver again. And although one might have expected a Sleepers-style storyline to develop, from what I can recall the kids who actually fired the water balloon got off relatively easy.
I was reminded of that story after watching the above video from the U.K.'s Jester Jacobs. Enjoy!
