After a summer long drought of Clean Guns-related features on this site (due in part to the fact that I still haven't gotten around to posting that 5 O'Clock Shadowboxers review...), I intend to spend the month of October making up for the lack of music from Philly's finest emcees. To that end we've got the CG collaboration with Web from last week and, if all goes well, we'll be announcing a pretty amazing project sometime in the very near future that will see Zilla and Nico bringing da ruckus on a new mixtape.

To hold you over until that announcement, here's a new "freestyle" from Zilla over one of DJ Premier's greatest beats, MC's Act Like They Don't Know. For this one Zilla hooked up with fellow Philadelphian Sick Six, an emcee so named for the fact that he stands 6'6". The original cut is one of the Blastmaster's classic tracks, but Zilla and Six manage to do this one justice. Peep:

Sick Six and Zilla Rocca - Emcees Act Like They Still Don't Know

Sick Six recently put out his debut album, Pain Is Poems, featuring guest appearances from Clean Gunner Nico the Beast, Reef the Lost Cauze and Chief Kamachi. You can sample the album, and get a look at the rather stark album artwork that will likely not be making it onto the family-friendly shelves of Wal-Mart, over at the Pain Is Poems website.
