Quietstorm 215 ft. Jogger & Jitnasty "Fresh Up In Da Party" Official Music Video HD
Sometimes I flip through the videos on Vimeo without the volume on because, for a good percentage of them, the visuals are typically far better than the lyrics. So I got about halfway through this one before I realized that was not, in fact, Rick Ross (it's Jitnasty) in the video, and it most certainly was not Charli Baltimore grinding on North Philly rapper Quietstorm 215. My bad, though the director who uploaded the video did tag it as "Rick Ross," so clearly they're not above working the benefits of having Ross' doppleganger spit a guest verse on the song.
It's an interesting approach to marketing a new song if your budget isn't big enough to pay for a major label rapper's appearance fee: just throw in a few people who vaguely resemble "name" artists and hope no one notices the difference. Lord knows people aren't checking for Rick Ross' videos to hear him rhyme anyway, so it's not a bad decision to spend the money on a party boat for the video shoot instead.
That being said, I'm always a fan of rap and dancehall fusion so I'm not mad at this one. You can find it on Quietstorm's album Tormenta Session.
