The Easter Rabbit

To everyone that's celebrating it this weekend, Happy Easter! As usual, I'm putting up some tracks that are (very marginally) related to the holiday. Easter was a tough one. Despite the fact that its almost a rapper requirement to have a Jesus piece or an iced-out cross, I couldn't find any songs dealing with Easter. There are a bunch of rap songs about Christmas, though, a fact which someone more cynical than I might use as a way to comment on the materialism that's become prevelant in both the Christmas holiday and rap music. Not me, though.

Since I couldn't find anything directly related to Easter, I had to go with one of the main symbols of the holiday: the Easter Bunny, or in this case the Easter "Rabbit." Specifically Eminem, who played Rabbit in 8 Mile. Yeah, its a stretch, but you gotta work with what you got. Anyway, here are a few Eminem freestyles. The first two are from the Sway and Tech show, from before he signed to Aftermath Records:

Rabbit Freestyle #1

Rabbit Freestyle #2

Rabbit Freestyle #3

If you really want to hear an Easter Bunny rapping, go check this out. Its an Easter version of the Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper's Delight, featuring a bunch of chicks (the feathered kind) and a rabbit. Its about as corny as you'd expect it to be.
