San Diego's A1 Beanz has been floating around my feed for a couple of weeks now after getting one of his Instagram clips co-signed by DJ Jazzy Jeff and Redman, which led me to this video for "Privilege." His IG posts say "he is looking for an audience that loves boom bap music" (bet) and this certainly falls into that category:

The video itself is incredible in its own way, with Beanz in the back of a restaurant kitchen casually preparing illicit substances like it's part of the dinner rush and is probably the only method of food preparation that would justify the prices Uber Eats is charging these days. I have not yet dug deep into his back catalog, but this song makes a pretty solid argument for me to start doing so.
