Jay-Z at the beach, Primo and Griff Mixtapes, Stack Bundles Update:
Jay-Z and Beyonce at St. Tropez. Most likely photoshopped (if not, their bodyguard must be about seven feet tall), but amusing nonetheless. I took the liberty of editing the nudity out for those of you not comfortable viewing softcore photos at work.
A few mixes for today:
Hour long mix from DJ Premier, featuring tracks from Kanye, Skyzoo, L.L. and Fifty. Speaking of Primo, he's doing a show at Arena in Manhattan on Thursday night. If any of you are in the city and interested, hit me up and I might be able to get you on the guest list for it.
Griff just put out another new mixtape, featuring a whole lot of southern rappers. The most interesting track on the tape is a collaboration between Dizzee Rascal and U.G.K., if only for the rare intersection of East London slang with Texas drawl. And one quick bit of news: Charles White, the suspect in the murder of Stack Bundles, was found dead this morning. Since this dude apparently put a few freestyles on tape, all of the local news stations in my area are labeling this the start of "a rap war." Right.
